From a quiet corner studio to a thousand first brushstrokes.
I painted for fifteen years before I ever taught. Commissions, exhibitions, long afternoons chasing light across paper. Then a neighbour asked if I could teach her daughter — and something shifted.
Artistrye grew out of that first lesson. It is built for adults returning to art after decades away, for homemakers carving out two hours on a Saturday, and for students who want technique taught properly rather than trends copied quickly.

Squint at your subject until detail disappears. What remains — the big dark shapes — is your drawing.

Materials, format and access
For the foundation course: a 300gsm cold-pressed paper pad, six basic watercolour pans, two round brushes (sizes 6 and 10), a 2B pencil and a kneaded eraser. A full material list with Indian and international options is emailed the day you enrol — nothing expensive is required to begin.
Each course mixes pre-recorded lessons you can watch anytime with a weekly live session for demonstrations, doubts and personal feedback on your work. Batch sizes are kept small so everyone gets time.
Yes. Every live class is recorded and uploaded to your dashboard within 24 hours, so a missed Saturday never means a missed lesson.
Course videos, recordings and downloadable resources stay in your library for 12 months from enrolment. Workshop recordings are available for 6 months.
Absolutely. Most students arrive with no formal training. The first four weeks are built entirely around the basics — holding the brush, mixing colour and seeing shape.
